Wherever possible we have our linings produced, woven and finished by British manufacturers who are also family businesses stretching over several generations.

A E Davidson & Son Ltd was established in 1896 in the City of London and has remained in the hands of the family for 5 generations. In 1975 we relocated to Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.  At this time we specialised in cutting silks, interlinings and linings for the manufacture of neck ties, which involved working with some of the top fashion houses in the world.

Over the years, the company has diversified into different areas of production, including die cutting Christmas decorations, army hats, ironing board covers, football shields etc. turning large volumes of material into cut components for production lines – just a small indication of what we are able to produce.  Today we are predominantly Neck Tie Lining Suppliers.

Our specialist team currently includes - Ian Davidson (5th Generation) Managing Director, Anita Davidson (12 years) Company Secretary and Stephen Hodges (35 years) General Manager.
